Rui Qiang

I am a third year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics at The Ohio State University, where I am supervised by Dr. Peter Craigmile. I am broadly interested in spatial-temporal statistics and its applications in climate research. My research utilizes various techniques in geostatistical processes, spatial point processes, Bayesian analysis, and MCMC.

I am from Xi'an, China and I have been studying abroad since Nov 2010.

In June 2022, I will start a graduate data science summer internship with Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston, MA.

Education:

  • M.Sc. in Statistics, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH
  • B.A. in Mathematics, College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA
  • Research Interest:

I am interested in spatial statistics, especially applications that involve both the geostatistical process and point process, such as using proxy data for climate reconstruction.

    Personal Interest:

I manage a Bilibili video channel, which I update once every two or three months.

Here is a list of my favorite restaurants.(not in any specific order)
